Being a Vegan for only 10 months I find it almost impossible to eat anywhere! We went to the Old Newcastle House and I was advised to try the veggie stir-fry. I have to admit I was hesitant, it was fabulous!!! I love to cook so therefore find it hard to find food I can say I love in most places!!! The company I was with also really enjoyed their food a lot! I have to say being OCD I always tend to look at the surroundings and this place is a little gem it is extremely clean ( which I love ) and beautifully decorated. This is our second visit and I look forward to many more !!! Read more

I've been here 2x and loved the food! The service is good, staff is very friendly. If you're a man you want to be here during sport events- Multiple tvs on every wall as well as projector screens. I had the fried pickles, fiesta poppers (jalepenos stuffed with creamed cheese), chicken garlic flatbread, buffalo chicken ranch sandwich and chicken wings as well as the big jack daddy burger (pulled pork, onion rings, cheese all on a hamburger). Everything was so good. The only downside to our second visit was that it was on a busy night and I wasn't able to mix my sauces on my wings ( for every 5 wings you can choose a different sauce or rub). Staff are very knowledgable and will recommend all the good stuff. 5 stars in general but I didn't get to mix my sauces so 4 stars for that. Read more

Even if you are not into sushi, it is worth a trip to Kakemono! My boyfriend LOVES sushi and although I don't mind it, it is not my favourite meal in the world. However, I love Teriyaki and the Teriyaki dishes on Kakemono's all you can eat menu are wonderful. The prices are reasonable when compared to the price you may for most all-you-can-eat places and the food was great. We will be going back in the near future! Read more

The wings are great (best I have had in Oshawa so far, and "yes" I have been to the Bulldog and Jax's). The only bad thing that I could say about the wings, they are a little on the small side and the hot are not all that hot. The service is alright (good at times, but alright).
